Special training: "EPC general contracting project management" special discussion meeting

With the start and construction of the company's increasing number of EPC general contracting projects, how to manage these EPC projects and improve the management efficiency of EPC projects, the company urgently needs to train the existing management personnel on the management knowledge of EPC general contracting projects. For this reason, on September 27, the company organized a "EPC General Contracting Project Management" discussion meeting attended by more than 60 people including the Engineering Technology Department, heads of various project departments, technical leaders, constructors and documenters in the Engineering Project Department of Hangzhou Comprehensive Service Center for the Disabled. The discussion meeting was conducted by Deputy General Manager Shi Zhong of the company. Chairman Shen Guofeng, General Manager Li Hongqi, Deputy General Manager Lei Chunyan and Deputy General Manager He Haomin also attended the discussion meeting.

Since most project managers are new to EPC construction management or have not been in contact with EPC projects for a long time, they have little knowledge of EPC general contracting project management, and most of the management is the traditional project management mode. In view of this situation, Mr. Shi first introduced the basic concept of EPC general contracting project to everyone and analyzed the purpose of implementing general contracting project, at the same time, the main clauses in Hangzhou's "General Contracting Project Management Measures" are explained one by one, and it is pointed out that the government has increased the implementation of EPC general contracting projects year by year, and increased the bidding of EPC projects.

In such a big framework environment, how should we face? Taking the EPC general contracting project of class 36 middle school project in the R22-06 plot of Taoyuan unit of the company as an example, Mr. Shi made a detailed introduction to the bidding stage, preliminary approval and construction of the EPC general contracting project led by design, analyzed the important clauses in the EPC bidding documents of the construction project, and explained several problems that should be paid attention to in the construction one by one, tell everyone that the management of EPC general contracting project mainly needs to change the concept and firmly establish the concept that design and construction are one family, because the losses caused by design errors are ultimately borne by the construction unit, and the occurrence of major design errors must be prevented. We should attach great importance to drawing optimization (especially structural optimization) and complete optimization as much as possible in the construction drawing design stage before completing drawing review; it is necessary to comprehensively consider how to construct before and after optimization, solve the contradiction between construction cost and design, continuously strengthen the ability to quickly determine costs, strengthen learning, and continuously improve business capabilities, especially the understanding of design specifications.

Based on his rich experience accumulated in the company's EPC project management in recent years, Mr. Shi told everyone how to manage the EPC project construction. At the same time, combined with the construction of Xingqiao (Phase II) EPC project, he explained in detail 16 civil engineering and 9 installation optimization suggestions, so that everyone had a more perceptual knowledge and understanding of EPC project construction.
