From May 15 to 19, 2024, the 23rd China Landscape Architecture Planning and Design Conference was held in the Great Hall of the People in Zhejiang Province.With the theme of "Landscape Architecture Helps Chinese-style Modernization", this conference attracted many landscape experts from all over the country to visit and exchange, aiming to promote the development and innovation of the landscape architecture industry.

Project Overview

Zhejiang Hengyu Construction Co., Ltd. is responsible for the construction of the Grand Canal Hangzhou Steel Industrial Site Comprehensive Protection Project. The second phase of the park green space project in the GS1303-14 plot is located in the former Hangzhou Steel site,The longest point in the north and south is about 458m, about 680m long from east to west, and the land area is 126343 square meters. The total construction area is 12120.00 square meters and the green area is 87510 square meters.

Features and highlights

 The highlight of the Grand Canal Hangzhou Steel Park in the construction process is its protection and reuse of historical relics. Liu Jiakun, the main architect of the project, once said: "The north of the big city in the future will become a benchmark area for the development of Hangzhou and even the Yangtze River Delta. The Grand Canal Hanggang Park will be an infectious multicultural park and will become an industrial heritage. The transformation model, the art and cultural creation center, and the cultural activity settlement will become an important place for citizens and tourists to live and visit.

♦During the construction of the project, the old steel plates, parts, rails, sleepers and other objects in the factory area will be collected, classified and preserved as important cultural fragments of Hangzhou Steel, and reused in many designs of the park.

♦The south entrance of the park retains the solitary planted Platanus acerifolicus as the visual center, the circular tree pool is built with slate embedding, the pavement is made of simple exposed aggregate concrete, and the old steel plate recycled by Hangzhou Steel is embedded, extending around to create a flowing rhythm.

♦The cast iron machine room is a semi-open "secret garden". At the top, a steel gallery frame "cloud gallery" is built to enclose the original cast iron machine room space, and the outside extends into the park along the rust red side gallery, forming an interesting three-dimensional interactive effect.

♦The regeneration garden is closed outside, with dense forest and ferns under the forest to create a quiet atmosphere, and the center of the small train to grass and flowers and trees;

♦Rain Garden, with two coke grooves reserved in the site, the north coke groove is about 45 meters long and the central coke groove is about 235 meters long, running through the site in the east-west direction. The rail for the train is preserved, and the funnel is paved with gravel,

Growing water-tolerant plants, flowering plants placed in the center,On both sides with foliage plants and ornamental grasses, planting patches and gray corner section gravel naturally staggered, natural style, plain, free and easy.

♦The original main function of the transfer station of the ironmaking plant is the continuous transportation of raw materials. It is the largest transfer station reserved by Hangzhou Iron and Steel Co., and its shape is a regular cuboid,An overhead layer with a height of about 10 meters at the bottom,As the starting point of the conveyor belt; The east side of the three layers is connected with a conveyor belt about 116 meters long to form a complete raw material conveying system, which is very beautiful in shape.

♦The overall construction of the park conforms to the aesthetic requirements of the original design, showing the roughness of industrial culture, the wild interest of landscape culture and the context of canal culture. Park south entrance exposed aggregate concrete pavement and landscape stone,The micro-natural surface of the recycled garden is broken into granite garden road, the central lawn sesame white granite gravel pavement, the "wild but not barren" natural flower border of the recycled garden and cast iron machine room, and the sunken courtyard built with old brick walls all restore the design effect with high quality.
